The beach that is popular known as the kinross beach in wellawatte in colombo usually becomes jam packed on saturday afternoon - unless the south east monsoon is in full swing. At least that's the way it has always been - until december 26, 2004.
I am an irregular visitor to this beach, even though there are beaches less than 3km from where I live, they are not as safe as or clean as the one at wellawatte.
